At Green Piling, giving back to our community is incredibly important to us. It strengthens our connections and brings our team together.
We make an active and consistent effort to show our support wherever we can. As a Sheffield-based piling and foundations company, there’s many essential services, groups, and networks that we can give back to in the area.
Here’s a recap of some of the things we’ve done recently to support local causes.
Sponsorship of the Pride of Yorkshire art trail

We are proudly sponsoring one of the sculptures featured in the Pride of Yorkshire initiative. The art trail has been organised by Sheffield Children’s Hospital Charity – our Charity of the Year for 2026.
The campaign celebrates the 150th anniversary of the hospital and aims to raise £2.8 million towards the development of a new emergency department. In honour of this, the initiative features 150 sculptures of lions and lionesses installed across Sheffield, Doncaster, Barnsley, and Rotherham.

Our sponsored lioness sculpture, named ‘She Lives Here’, resides in Castle Square in Sheffield. It was designed by Jonathan Wilkinson, depicting familiar landmarks and structures, including tower blocks and chimneys.
The lioness is a thoughtful representation of how landscapes evolve, how communities adapt, and how memory preserves what time transforms. As a company offering crucial services of the design and installation of piling solutions and foundation packages, this was a proud and apt piece of artwork for us to sponsor.
Sponsorship of Your Potential (YP Women)
We are delighted to be sponsoring and supporting Your Potential (YP Women). They are a Sheffield-based football club, established to create more opportunities for women and young girls to play football competitively.

The club has grown quickly over the last few years, expanding to form teams across multiple age groups, from U13s to U23s. Your Potential operates with a huge focus on dedicated player development. By creating a clear pathway through the women’s game, their mission has already proven highly successful – the women’s team were recently promoted to Tier 6 of the East Midlands League.
It’s currently a very exciting time for the club. Joe Dixon, the founder of YP Academy, has recently acquired Glapwell Stadium. It is set to become the new permanent home for both the first team and U18s ahead of the 2026/27 season.
There is plenty of work happening behind the scenes to get the ground ready. The support from our sponsorship goes directly towards supporting the team’s transition into their new league, and developing the stadium’s facilities to make the space truly their own.
We’re excited to continue supporting our local community and making a difference throughout 2026. For more information about how Green Piling can support your next initiative, please get in touch with our team.
