Humble beginnings
2000
Our Founder, David Green, opened the doors to our first office in the North East, which consisted of loaned Porta-cabins with one 16-year-old rig and one crew.
A strategic move home
2003
We outgrew our North East facilities and made the move to our new offices in Rotherham, David’s hometown.
Laying the foundations
2005
The next few years saw us focus on investing in our equipment. We purchased three Junttan driven rigs to accelerate our offering and meet demand.
Reimagining our brand
2007
As well as investing in equipment, we invested in our brand image. 2007 saw Green Piling rebrand and introduce a modern logo to reflect our ambitious growth plans.
Building our base
2008
As our operations continued to expand, we needed more office space, workshop and a yard facility. We found that with our Renishaw location, where our HQ still stands today.
Breaking the £1 million mark
2008
Green Piling were sub-contracted to install precast concrete and steel tubular piles at Tilbury power station as part of our first million pound contract.
Expanding capabilities
2009
We purchased our first Soilmec rig and moved into CFA piling systems, completing our first job in York.
Going international
2010
On our 10th year anniversary, we opened a satellite office in Poland to enable efficient completion of awarded projects.
Strengthening our production
2016
We opened a dedicated precast pile concrete manufacturing facility in Chesterfield.
A million metres strong
2023
We reached a milestone of 1,000,000 metres of piles manufactured.
Innovation in foundations
2024
We introduced the G-sPan Foundation system and started manufacturing precast beams in our own facility and immediately securing our first Ground Beam Package Contract.
25 years of Green Piling
2025
We celebrated our 25th Anniversary! In 2025, our operations consist of 15 piling rigs, 10 crews, 12 manufacturing operatives and 30 office staff with plans to continue our investment in employees and plant.
