As Preconstruction Director at Green Piling, I lead the team responsible for managing tenders, technical design and early stage project development. My focus is on ensuring that every scheme is well designed, commercially viable and buildable from the outset. I work closely with clients, consultants and our internal teams to solve complex technical challenges and de-risk delivery before work starts on site. With a straightforward, solutions focused approach, I aim to build trust through clear communication, sound engineering judgement and a commitment to quality. I’ve been in the industry long enough to know that the best outcomes happen when collaboration starts early – and yes…. piling is more than just a job for me!
I started at Green Piling in early 2006 as a Contracts Manager having previously spent 16 years working in civil engineering and construction. Throughout the years I have managed a wide range of piling projects and amassed a wealth of experience and knowledge enabling the safe and successful delivery of piling projects through the length and breadth of the Country. In recent years to align with the growth of the Company, a change of role to Contracts Director has enabled me to further develop and contribute to the growth of the Company.

ChatGTP’s description of an Office Manager – Think of the office manager as the glue, the wizard, and sometimes the therapist of the workplace. They’re the person who knows where everything is, how everything works, and when everything is due. Without them? Total. Meltdown. Cries of “Where are the printer cartridges?” “We’re out of coffee again!” Fear not. The Office Manager knows—and has a secret stash just in case.
This sums up my role perfectly! I often describe myself as ‘The Jack of all Trades and The Master of None!’. The one thing ChatGTP does not mention?….. the secret stash of biscuits…. sshhh keep that one to yourself!
As a pile designer, I specialize in developing foundation solutions that ensure the structural integrity and long-term stability of our projects. My role involves analyzing soil conditions, assessing load requirements, and designing efficient pile systems—whether driven or bored—to support a wide range of structures. By combining geotechnical data with engineering principles, I help optimize foundation performance, reduce risk, and support our clients’ design and construction goals from the ground up.
My role is to review new enquiries from our clients and collate tender proposals for driven and CFA piling packages. I enjoy analysing tender documents and working with our clients to put forward suitable and cost-effective piling solutions.
I work as part of the Pre-Construction team, providing tenders for a variety of pile foundation solutions. My focus is on maximising cost-effective solutions through early engagement with our partners, design development and value engineering.
Over the past 10 years I’ve been part of the pre-construction team, where I’ve developed a strong focus on design. I enjoy working with complex ground conditions and coming up with practical, efficient, and cost-effective solutions.
With an extensive background in contracting now turning my hand to estimating in the hope I can bring some practical experience to the process and assist our potential clients in solving their problems, providing workable cost-effective piling solutions. Enjoy getting round the table and working though the options to come up with the right answer.
