Green Piling were sub-contracted to install a mix of pre-cast concrete and steel tubular piles at Tilbury Power Station.
The works took place over 27 weeks and incorporated steel tubular raking piles and restricted access piling.
The raking piles were fully welded and subject to sonic integrity tests with the restricted access piles installed under overhead power cables and driven in 2m sections, they were then concrete filled to accommodate tension and horizontal loads. See table for breakdown of piles installed:
