GPL worked closely with the Main Contractor throughout the design stage to ensure the best piling system was chosen for the project. Due to the high lateral loads, 340mm diameter steel tubular piles were adpoted, this reduced the number of piles required and therefore reduced cost to the Main Contractor.
Pre-start meetings with the client took place to ensure the best working practice was adopted to effectively use the tight working space we had on site, and any Health and Safety issues that may have arisen could be identified and resolved before work commenced on site.
